Slovene singer and actress Manca Izmajlova studied acting and musical theatre in London at the Mountview Theatre Academy and continued her mezzo-soprano classical vocal training at the Academic Music College of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.
While at Mountview Manca played Rosalind in As You Like It, Dolly in The Threepenny Opera, Ilse in Spring Awakening, Natalya Petrovna in A Month In The Country, Andy in Stepping Out, and Beatrice in The Servant of Two Masters.
In Slovene theatre Manca has played Marianna in The Miser, Julija/Katra/Bogomila in Vrba, and Mitzi in the musical comedy Miss Mitzi.

Manca sings in 12
languages and has performed in over 300 concerts and musical
events Worldwide. She hosted the TV Slovenia 1 show 'Invitation to a Dance'
which featured the National Radio Big Band
Orchestra with whom she often appears.
A regular recording artiste, Manca's
latest album, Slavic Soul (co-produced
by her husband, violinist Benjamin Izmajlov)
is a wonderful collection of melodies celebrating the musical heritage
of the Slavic nations.
In 2008 Manca will play the leading role of Mrs.
Johnstone in BEST's Slovenian premiere of the award-winning Willy
Russell musical Blood Brothers. |
