A native son of Liverpool, Graham Bickley has performed as principal lead in West End musicals for over twenty years in shows including Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Jukebox, Which Witch, Maddie, The Pajama Game, Metropolis and Sunset Boulevard (playing opposite Petula Clark). Other shows include They’re Playing Our Song and The Pirates of Penzance.

Regional theatre productions include Sleuth, No Trams to Lime Street, the UK première of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and the world première of Black Goes With Everything. Revues include Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and It’s Better With a Band.

For BBC Television, Graham played Joey Boswell in Carla Lane's hugely popular comedy series, Bread. This was followed by a Bread stage tour and a season at London's Dominion Theatre.

Graham's concert musical productions include Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, and Leonard Bernstein’s Wonderful Town (performing the role of The Wreck). He has played Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls in Holland with The Rotterdam Philharmonic, and in Austria with The Vienna Konzerthaus, both concerts conducted by Wayne Marshall.

Other orchestras Graham Bickley has performed worldwide with include, The London Symphony, The City of London Sinfonia, The National Symphony, The Royal Scottish National, The RTE Concert, The Gothenburg Symphony, The Iceland Symphony and The Sao Paulo Symphony.

With conductor and composer Carl Davis, Graham played a concert series with The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, The Hallé, The City of Birmingham Symphony, and with the Bergen Philharmonic in Norway.

At The Royal Festival Graham has performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra in Guys and Dolls, On The Town, and in a new musical version of Peter Pan. His live performances for BBC Radio include Bitter Sweet, Radio Rhapsody, and Big Band Special with the BBC Big Band, plus many appearances as guest vocalist on BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night.

In 2000, Graham made his début at the BBC Promenade Concerts at The Royal Albert Hall, performing in Kurt Weill’s Street Scenes and a 70th birthday tribute to Stephen Sondheim. He then completed a season at Grange Park Opera playing Billy Crocker in Cole Porter’s Anything Goes, and in October 2000 performed the role of Tateh in the UK première concert performance of Ragtime at the inaugural International Festival Of Musical Theatre in Cardiff.

Highlights of 2003 included Graham recreating the role of Tateh in the fully staged production of Ragtime at The Piccadilly Theatre,  for which he received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.

Following a guest appearance at a gala concert with Lesley Garrett, Graham, in association with Martin Koch, devised, produced and appeared in Tempo Of The Heart – a celebration of the work of Nelson Riddle, with The BBC Concert Orchestra, which was transmitted live on BBC Radio 2.

In Summer 2004 Graham was returned to Grange Park Opera to play Robert Baker in Wonderful Town. He then spent 2005 touring the UK in Ian Talbot's production of High Society, playing Dexter Haven, the Bing Crosby role. This was followed by a season of High Society at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London.

2007 has seen Graham touring the World on Cruise Liners with his one-man show and he is proud to be a long-serving Director of the Theatre Royal Drury Lane Theatrical Fund.
