David established BESTheatre in 2005.

He trained at London's Italia Conti Academy and as a juvenile actor played the title role in the popular 1966 BBC TV series Jennings. Since then his work has ranged from playing Ugly Sister in British pantomime to the leading role of Jean Valjean in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre, London.

David's television credits include The Bill, Midsomer Murders, Family Affairs, Footballers Wives, Doctors, Trevor's World of Sport, New Tricks, Winners and Losers, Love for Lydia, Dodgem, The Royal Variety Performance, the Emmy award winning Tom Brown's Schooldays, and his personal highlight, working twice with the English comedy greats Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise on The Morecambe and Wise Show.

Feature films include, Goodbye Mr Chips, Oliver, The Pirates of Penzance, The Hunger, Fiddler on the Roof and Mr Bootle in the Alice Lowe film, Out of Water. For two years he was a member of the BBC Radio Schools Repertory.

David directed BEST's 2009, 2008 and 2007 Theatre in Education Slovenian tours of John Osborne's Look Back In Anger and he played Colonel Redfern in their 2009 production. David also appeared in their production of Graham Swannells's drama/comedy A State of Affairs at the Hen & Chickens Theatre and at the OSO Arts Centre, Barnes, London in July 2009.

David's theatre roles include Diesel in West Side Story, the Narrator in Blood Brothers and the Police Sergeant in The Pirates of Penzance. Other West End credits include Evita, Kismet, Billy, and Aladdin at the London Palladium.

He has featured in over 60 UK and foreign commercials and has extensive experience as a presenter/facilitator in the corporate market.

In September 2005 (in association with SAVA Hotels) David produced and appeared in Slovenia's first professional Murder Mystery at the Grand Hotel Toplice, Bled. BEST's corporate Murder Mystery clients have included Nokia, Novo Nordisk, Peugeot, Sanolabor, IATEFL, Ericsson, Unicredit Bank, Raiffeisen Bank and Sava.

WRITING

An accomplished author; David has written thirteen one-act plays and he is currently writing his first full length play. He will be presenting an evening of his writing in London in November 2010. Details to follow.
